iPhone = Media Computer Mouse

iPhone App

I’ve had a Mac Mini hooked up to my TV for a while, but using a mouse and keyboard has always been somewhat annoying. I’ve tried using Front Row with the apple remote, but it’s too limited. I’ve looked for good iPhone apps to use in the past, but they all used to either cost money or not work well. Last night I was ready to bite the bullet and pay that dollar or two for an app that would give me the control I wanted for my Mini.

I did a quick search for mouse and came across an app that met my needs. Even better is the fact that it’s free. The Logitech Touch Mouse works through an app that you also install on your computer. I’d say this is a must-have app for anyone who has a computer hooked up to their TV as a media computer, especially since it’s free. The app works on both PCs and Macs and includes a keyboard as well. No more clunky wireless keyboards that you forget to get new batteries for. No more trying to find a flat surface in your living room for your mouse.

    I’ve had it for a while. A little buggy but really useful.

      The only bug I noticed is that I had to disconnect and reconnect after my phone went to sleep. It would be cool if it had the iPhone autocorrect built in too though.
